LED and Backlit 3D Letters in Jeddah
LED and backlit 3D letters are fabricated signs that combine dimensional lettering with illumination for better visibility after dark. Backlit letters direct light toward the wall behind the letter, creating a glow around its outline, while other illuminated constructions can light through the front face. DC Advert signage, fabricates and installs illuminated 3D letters in Jeddah for shops, restaurants, cafés, offices, clinics, hotels and commercial façades. Arabic, English, bilingual lettering and logos can be produced, with the material, lighting method and mounting arrangement selected according to the artwork and installation surface.
LED and Backlit Letters Signage for Shops and Businesses
Illuminated letters are commonly installed where a business needs its name or logo to remain readable in the evening. Typical applications include retail stores, restaurants, cafés, clinics, salons, showrooms, hotels, offices and shopping centres.
Letter size and lighting should be planned around the shopfront rather than selected separately. A sign viewed from across a road needs different proportions from lettering installed behind a reception desk. For exterior projects, we also consider the available façade space, viewing distance, background colour and location of electrical connections before production begins.

Front-Lit, Backlit & Halo-Lit Options
These lighting terms describe different effects.
Front-lit letters allow light to leave through the front face, normally through a suitable translucent element. Backlit letters direct light behind the letter toward the wall. When the reflected light forms a glow around the outside of the letter, it is commonly called a halo-lit effect. Reverse-lit letters usually describe a fabricated letter with an opaque face and rear illumination. Some constructions can combine front and rear lighting. The suitable option depends on the required appearance, letter design, material and installation surface.
Materials, Colours & Custom Letter Styles
Illuminated 3D letters can use different materials depending on the required construction. Acrylic can be used where light needs to pass through a face or other translucent component. Stainless steel or other fabricated metal can be used for opaque faces and dimensional letter bodies, including backlit designs.
Colour, finish, lighting colour, letter depth and logo shape are selected according to the project. These specifications are not fixed because large exterior letters and smaller indoor lettering have different fabrication requirements.
Arabic and English Illuminated Backlight Letters
Arabic lettering needs careful planning because connected characters, curves and varying stroke shapes can affect both fabrication and LED placement. English lettering has different spacing and proportion requirements. For bilingual shopfronts, both languages should be planned together so the sign looks balanced as one composition.
Logos and custom shapes can also be illuminated. Before fabrication, the artwork should be reviewed at the intended size to confirm that narrow sections and small details can be produced cleanly and illuminated consistently.

Backlit Letters Signage vs Other 3D Letter Types
Backlit letters describe a lighting effect rather than one specific material. A stainless-steel letter, for example, may be produced without lighting or built as a backlit letter. Acrylic can also be part of an illuminated sign construction.
Channel Letters describe a fabricated letter type that may be front-lit, halo-lit or use another lighting arrangement. Zincore and Kamel Plastic refer to different regional letter constructions or material approaches.
The right choice depends on the appearance, lighting direction, material finish, letter size, shopfront and project budget.
Fabrication and Installation
The process starts with the business name or logo and a site measurement. We check the available sign area, mounting surface, required dimensions and preferred lighting effect before preparing the production files.
Fabrication can include cutting, forming, letter assembly, LED preparation, wiring and finishing. During installation, letter spacing and alignment are marked from the approved layout. The wiring route, power connection, fixing points and future access also need to be considered so the installation remains clean and practical.
Backlit 3D Letters in Jeddah
Jeddah is the main service location for DC Advert. We fabricate illuminated letters for new shop openings, restaurant and café façades, clinics, offices, retail outlets and other commercial properties.
External signs should be specified around the actual site, including sunlight, heat, dust, façade material and maintenance access. We do not use one fixed LED specification, letter depth or material thickness for every project.
Projects can also be handled in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, Dammam, Khobar, Al Qassim, NEOM and other Saudi locations depending on scope.
Request a Quote
Send your business name or logo, approximate sign dimensions, installation location and preferred lighting effect. Mention whether the project is indoors or outdoors and include a photo of the wall or shopfront. If you already have a material finish or reference sign in mind, send that as well so the fabrication, lighting and installation requirements can be reviewed.
